And there it is the completion of another year. A year that was full of promises, of beginnings and endings, of happiness and tears, of love and heartache. May the coming year be a year full of joy, achievements, and friendships! I wish you all a wonderful New Year!

IN A HEARTBEAT
I am a timeless clock.
Through me all life is funnelling.
Just like the dying hour of the night
At midnight sure rest finding.
I am the strongest poison humans die of,
Imagined, measured, illusions of masters.
Why sixty minutes, why sixty seconds?
Why not one hundred twenty asters?
Humanity’s most precious jewel,
Their most expensive currency,
A fiction of their uncertainty
Of life, death, and renewal!
There’s no such thing as time, just timelines!
As if time were to be real, that would imply
A conscious being, the Universe- a living mind;
A belly large enough to fit all the galaxies in it.
One of the oldest stories Christianity, and before Christianity, Judaism talks about is how Lucifer was ousted out of Heaven due to his rebellious behaviour. Some stories talk about Lucifer wanting to be like God and yearning to be worshiped he rebelled against God so he could take His place. Some other stories, such as the story written by John Milton in Paradise Lost state that Lucifer threw a tantrum when God presented His Son as His right hand and the successor of the Heavenly Throne.
Regardless of the reason for Lucifer’s rebellion, he lost and then was cast into what is now called Hell. Here he lamented and tried to regain his previous status. But his pride and the legions of angels and heavenly hosts who fell with him made him reconsider his lamentation, finally deciding to be evil and make Hell his kingdom.

Did you know that stress is right there at the top with the most common causes leading to heart attacks and death?

Stress as per Confucius words is a state of imbalance, and as per Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi’s words is the result of an imbalance between one’s skills (lack of skills in this case) and the task at hand.

Thus, to deal with stress one must one must walk the path in the middle, just like Confucius said. To live a life well is to understand yourself and tune both your skills and the demands you put on yourself.

You must learn to reward yourself for hard work and recognise when you need up-skilling.
